Internet Explorer...if you don't have it yet, you have to download the newest version by Microsoft. It handles Java and JScript TONS better than Netscape not to even mention details such as ActiveX and VBScript which gives web designers, like myself, so much more control over the way pages look.

Pointcast Network. A news and informational screen saver. Downloads at intervals you set and will even update unattended over dial-up networking bringing you up-to-date news, weather, sports scores and current events.
 
XrX Logo changing utility. Allows you to change the logo that Windows 95 shows when your computer boots and shuts down. Supports "animated" .SYS and .BMP files.
 
PkWare Compression Software. Supports UNUX, DOS, Windows 3.1, 95 and NT. Also on this page are utilities for managing .ZIP files including one that removes references to illeagal filesnames in .ZIP files.
 
Hot Dog Pro HTML Editor, for those of you creating your homepage or website that ensits on using an editor despite my recomendations, this is probably one of the best on the market. If I had to recomend one other than NOTEPAD.EXE, this would be it.

Previously windows95.com, this site has a lot of downloads and additions for the Windows family OS. A pretty neat design concept for a website too.
 
The Jumbo Download Network is a collection of shareware for every use. They specialize in Windows 95, but also have some 3.1 usable software.
 
at ShareWare.Com, you can download tons of software, again all share/free-ware. Downloads include software for Windows 3.1, 95, NT, DOS, Macintosh, OS/2, UNIX, Novell, and Amiga.
 
The Top 50 Sites for downloadable WaReZ. Full versions of copyrighted well known applications, utilities, and games. This page doesn't have any downloads itself, but is an up-to-date list of many of the sites currently on-line. (They go down frequently for obvious reasons)
 
ZDNet's Top rated software is available for download from the Hot Files site. Games, Utilities, Developer Tools, Mac, Internet, Business, Graphics, it's all here.

N.,V. A reference (link) from some point in one {hypertext} document to (some point in) another document or another place in the same document. A {browser} usually displays a hyperlink in some distinguishing way, e.g. in a different color, font or style. When the user activates the link (e.g. by clicking on it with the {mouse}) the {browser} will display the target of the link.

At Bartlett's Book of Quotations, you can search by subject or author name and retreive thousands of quotes. Fun and also usefull for class papers.
 
Access the United States' census information from their searchable web site.
 
At the Periodic Table of Elements, you click on an element in the table and it defines that element in great detail.
 
This site, when given two cities, will tell you the latitude and longitude of both cities as well as tell you the distance between them. It also has a link that will show you driving directions from those two cities.
 
The Milner Library has all the information you can access at the library computers plus many more. You can even reserve books to be delivered to you or send the results of your searches to an e-mail address for later use.
 
Searchable recipies for Drinks and other foods.
 
Byte Magazine, a computer related magazine with a content relating more to hardware and advances in that industry.
 
Wired is another computer related magazine with a reputations for being on the edge. Much of their content has web related issues.
 
People Magazine is a weekly publication that contains current events of the entertainment industry and some other good articles.
 
Doctor Dobb's Journal is a C/C++ programmer's publication that comes out monthly. Contained at the web site is source code explained in the issue and selected articles.
 
Popular Mechanics has some interesting content for the do-it-yourselfer. Most of the articles are discussing new inventions/gadgets and other just plain neat stuff.
